Deleting clips on Twitch is pretty straightforward: just access your account's clip library, select the clips you want removed and delete them. However, this isn't as easy as it sounds.

Streaming is all the hype now, but not everyone is savvy enough to know how to manage their clip library. Recently, my little cousin wanted a Twitch clip removed, but he didn't know how, so he asked me for help.

1. How to Delete Clips on Twitch Using a PC?

Using a Twitch App on your PC is perhaps the most effortless way to delete clips on Twitch. The big monitor screen and the use of a mouse and keyboard make navigation through the app a lot easier compared to smaller screens featured on smartphones.

In this section, we'll cover the removal of all the clips from your Twitch account in a few easy steps, whether they're all your clips or the clips created by your subscribers and/or followers. Let's start from the beginning.

How to Remove Twitch Clips Created by You:

  1. Open Twitch website and sign in to access your account.
  2. Click your profile picture located in the top-right corner, and select Creator Dashboard.
  3. Next, click on the Content drop-down menu located on the left-hand pane.
  4. Then, click Clips, and select the Clips I've Created tab. This will show you all the Twitch clips you created.
  5. To delete specific clips on your Twitch account, select the specific clips and click Delete Selected.
  6. A confirmation box will appear; click on Delete to delete selected clips on Twitch. If you want to remove all clips you've created on your Twitch channel, skip to step #7.
  7. To delete all Twitch clips you made, just click Delete All Clips I've Created. Please note that deleting clips isn't reversible, and once they're deleted, they can't be recovered. Make sure you're deleting the right clips.

How to Delete Your Followers Clips on Twitch:

Besides storing clips created by you, your channel might contain content created by your followers. To delete the followers' clips on Twitch, do the following:

  1. Open Twitch website and login into your Twitch account.
  2. Click your profile picture located in the top-right corner, and select Creator Dashboard.
  3. Next, click on the Content drop-down menu located on the left-hand pane.
  4. Click Clips, and select the Clips of My Channel.
  5. Click on the followers' clips you want deleted, and then click the Delete Selected button.
  6. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click on Delete to delete the selected clips on Twitch.

As stated above, all the Twitch clips that your delete are permanently removed from your Twitch channel and can't be recovered at a later date. Be careful when selecting, and make sure you're removing the right clips.

2. How to Delete Clips on Twitch Using a Smartphone?

Sometimes, you might need some Twitch clips removed, but you don't have access to a PC, or you simply prefer using your mobile. There are two ways you can delete Twitch clips using a smartphone:

Delete Clips on Twitch Via a Smartphone Browser:

This method allows you to delete clips using a smartphone browser on both your Android and/or iPhone. For the purpose of this guide, we'll explain the process using Google Chrome (Android), but the process is pretty much the same on iPhone's Safari browser.

  1. Open Chrome on your smartphone.
  2. Type twitch.com into your browser's address bar to open Twitch.
  3. Tap the three-dots symbol on located at the top-right of your screen to open the Settings drop-down.
  4. At the bottom of the Settings menu, check the Desktop mode or Desktop site box to open the desktop version of the web page.
  5. Tap Login at the right-hand top to sign in with your account.
  6. Once you've signed in, tap your profile picture, located at the top-right, and click on Creator Dashboard.
  7. Next, tap on the arrow icon to display the left-hand pane and tap on Content.
  8. From the Content drop-down, select Clips.
  9. From here on, the process is pretty much the same as on the PC. You can delete Twitch clips individually or all the clips on your channel.

How to Delete Clips on Twitch using the Twitch App:

  1. Launch the Twitch App from your smartphone.
  2. Tap on the profile picture located at the top left, and tap Account Settings.
  3. Tap on Community Guidelines.
  4. Next, tap the Human icon at the top-right, and tap Browse.
  5. Twitch will launch the Twitch web page in desktop mode.
  6. Tap Login at the right-hand top to sign in.
  7. Once you've signed in, click your profile picture, located at the top-right, and tap on Creator Dashboard.
  8. Next, tap on the arrow icon at the top to display the side panel and tap on Content.
  9. From the Content drop-down, choose Clips.
  10. Next, choose between the Clips of my channel and the Clips I've created.
  11. Then choose whether to delete individual clips or all the clips on the channel.

3. How To Delete Clips on Twitch as a Mod?

The role of Twitch moderators is to ensure that the chat meets the behavior and content standards set by streamers and broadcasters by removing offensive posts and spam. These may also include offensive clips and clip titles.

In case the streamer is busy, mods help moderate the in-game chat behaviors. However, when it comes to the removal of offensive content, in terms of clips, mods don't have the necessary permissions to delete or mass-delete Twitch clips.

So, if you're a moderator, you need to seek the channel owner to grant you an editor role so that you may address the questionable content.

Content management is a big part of content creation, and Twitch has fantastic clip management options. These options can help you manage who can create clips of your channel and who can save sections of your streaming sessions as Twitch clips.

Automatic clip creation allows your followers to save clips of your streaming sessions. Here's how you can turn automatic clip creation off:

  1. Log into Twitch's webpage.
  2. Click on your profile picture, and click Creator Dashboard.
  3. Next, click Settings, and then click Channel.
  4. Find the Enable Clips option, and disable it.

How to Manage Clip Creation?

You can manage or limit who can create clips of your streams on Twitch. Here's how to manage clips:

  1. Log into Twitch.
  2. Click your profile image, and click Creator Dashboard.
  3. Next, click Settings > Channel.
  4. Scroll to Clip Settings, and choose Followers only or Subscriber only from the drop-down. Please note that this option only appears if the Enable Clips option is turned on.
