How to Copy Games on Roblox? Here's A Quick and easy Guide

Lindsay Hayes

In the past, I've used the Synapse X software a few times to copy games on Roblox, and it's worked like a charm. But with the latest Roblox updates, it no longer seems to work. Apart from that, there are a few other software that I've used, like Asset Copier for instance. But once again, it doesn't seem to work anymore.

The reasons are obvious though, copying games on Roblox violates their terms of service and can even result in you getting banned from their server. So it makes sense that they would try to limit this as much as possible. But, if you are still interested, I've run through all the methods that used to work for me in the past. You can give them a try, and maybe some of them might work for you.

How to Copy Games on Roblox?

Stealing someone else's Roblox game can get your account banned if you're reported. You'd be stealing intellectual property after all, which breaks that platform's terms of use.

Instead of straight up copying someone else's Roblox game, you can always create a brand new game of your own inspired by other users' work (more on how later).

But if you're fine with taking the risk and want to copy a game, you can use the Synapse X Software. I've personally have had luck with it - it's free and a very convenient software, making it good for newbies. Here's what Roblox players can do to copy a game:

What Are Some Other Methods That You Can Try?

Depending on who you speak to, there are a few other methods that you can use to copy Roblox games. I think the Synapse X is the most reliable of them, but let's talk about the other tricks that you can try.

Roblox Tools

To start off, you can use the Roblox Tools software - it's free and not that complicated to use. Here's how you use the Roblox tool.

Asset Copier Software

Asset Copier lets you inspect a game's code, and then copy it.

Although you can use it on Roblox games, keep in mind that it only works on Roblox games that haven't been locked by the author.

A locked game is basically a setting that the game author set up to stop anyone from trying to steal the original game.

How Can You Copy Your Own Roblox Game?

If you've made a game before and want to copy its code, this is easier than trying to copy someone else's game. You can base a new game on the old game. All you have to do is:

How Do You Create Your Own Roblox Game?

Instead of trying to copy someone else's Roblox game, you can always try and create your own game from scratch. A good starting point would be to go through a few public games and make note of the features in more successful ones, using them as features to add to your own game.

FAQ

Answered below are some popular questions.

1. How Do You Know If You're Banned On Roblox?

You'll be hit with a 'Not Approved' message when you try to log into Roblox. Roblox bans sometimes aren't forever, so there's a chance that you'd just be locked out of your account for a day or two, but if you have a history of copying games, you can eventually get permanently banned if you've been reported that many times.

The good news is you can try and appeal the ban. All you have to do is reach out to the Roblox moderation team, and tell them that you'd like to appeal the ban. Just remember that you can only appeal the ban if you're within the 30-day window where it was issued.

Final Thoughts

There are a few different ways that you can use to copy games on Roblox, like using the Synapse X software, or the Asset Coppier tool. But I would generally advise you against this. Remember that you would pretty much be stealing another user's intellectual property. So, you can not only get suspended but even banned from the platform.

Like I said, I'd advise you to instead go with an original game but sprinkle in ideas and themes from other successful games in there - this will help yours be a hit, while also preventing you from fully stealing someone else's intellectual property.

Also, as I mentioned earlier, most of these methods might not work anymore, but you could give them a shot just to be sure.
