You may not be facing any serious problem. Your cart may just be empty, and you're trying to order food anyway. Add food to it, and then proceed with the ordering process.

Checking your internet connection is one of the easiest fixes. There's a chance that it's unstable - you could be far away from your router, or just in a spot with bad signal.

Try moving closer to your router, and connect to another WiFi network. Hopefully you won't have to deal with the error "validating basket DoorDash" now.

Of course, check whether airplane mode is running. This will stop you from connecting to cellular towers in case it is. You won't be able to access the internet, and calls and texts wouldn't come in either.

Solution 5: Delete Cache Memory

At the same time, you may be having issues with DoorDash's temporary memory - it might have become corrupt. Although this may sound serious, clearing its cache memory will help.

The process to follow will differ depending on your device's OS. Here's what you do on an iOS device to get rid of the basket doordash error:

  1. Open the Settings app
  2. Go to General, and then click on iPhone Storage
  3. Tap Manage Storage
  4. Find and tap on DoorDash
  5. Tap Offload app

You may be facing some kind of bug or glitch that they're not aware of, or a trace ID error. If it's a trace ID problem that you're dealing with, the Doordash app wouldn't be able to connect to your account. There's nothing you can do to get rid of it, other than let the DoorDash staff take care of it.

Final Thoughts

When using DoorDash, I've had trouble finalizing payment a couple of times - I couldn't add the correct payment and delivery details because ' Doordash error validating basket" kept popping up. It's pretty annoying, and is one of the most common DoorDash errors. This means that you're dealing with some kind of Trace ID error. However, you can easily get rid of it.
