How Do You Fix Error 103 on Roblox?

Now, you don't need to let Roblox error code 103 get in the way of you being able to enjoy yourself in the game. There are multiple fixes that you can give a shot to get past this error code and have things working like normal again.

Enable "See Content Other People Make" on Xbox

Roblox error code 103 is very common among players with an Xbox One console due to certain settings that are disabled by default for safety, especially around a child account.

If you have access to the parent account, you can set things up so that the child account can finally see content from other people. This will get error code 103 out of the way for you.

Here's how to enable this setting in your Xbox account settings:

  1. Go to the Xbox website.
  2. Click the "Sign In" button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Enter your login credentials and sign in.
  4. Click on your profile picture.
  5. Choose "Xbox profile".
  6. Now, select "Privacy settings".
  7. From the "Privacy" tab, make sure "You can see and upload community creations" is set to "Everyone". Also, make sure "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" is set to "Allow" if you want to be able to communicate.
  8. Click on the "Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 devices Online Safety" tab.
  9. Make sure that you have "You can join multiplayer games" set to "Allow".

While the above is how to remove these account restrictions from your web browser, you can also do all of this straight from your Xbox console, and it'll still help you fix error code 103.

  1. Open the Settings menu on your console.
  2. Go to the "General" tab in the side panel.
  3. Choose "Online safety & family".
  4. Now, pick "Privacy & online safety".
  5. Click on "Xbox privacy".
  6. Next, select "View details & customize".
  7. Now, go to "Communication & multiplayer".
  8. Switch "You can join multiplayer games" and "See content other people make" to "Allow".
  9. Once you're done, restart the Xbox and wait for it to come on again. Run the game to see if Roblox error code 103 is still happening.

Create a New Roblox Account with an Age Over 18

Age restrictions are the most common reason why you'll face error code 103 on a non-Xbox device. When a game is marked for people above your age group, the game locks you out to keep you safe.

Unfortunately, once you set your age as underage, you won't be able to change it to anything else.

Of course, not everyone is ready to wait years until they're officially old enough to start playing Roblox. Most people will create a new account to get past this, and for good reason. It is a quick way to get past the age restriction.

You can visit the sign-up page on the Roblox website to create a new account. Make sure that you aim for a year of birth that will make the newly created Roblox account at least 18 years old and you'll be able to get past error code 103.

There's no one-size-fits-all guide to updating your device's software, but you can generally find it by going into Settings.

Uninstall and Reinstall Your Roblox Game

In cases where there are corrupted game files in the Roblox application, you can end up with Roblox error code 103, even when you're sure that the games or servers you're trying to join are not restricted to you in any way.

When you uninstall and install the game again, you can get rid of the error code and any other issues that are there because of messed up game files.

Again, reinstalling Roblox depends mostly on the platform on which you're playing the game. Most Roblox play gets done on mobile devices, followed by computers, so I'll quickly cover how to reinstall on these platforms.

Hopefully, doing this was able to get rid of any corrupted files causing Roblox error code 103 and lets you play the game like normal again.
