These are mostly feature phones with SIM-only plans and are used for texting and calling only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People usually buy burner phones for privacy reasons or emergency situations since they're prepaid and not locked to a specific wireless carrier. You can get these at most convenience stores or electronic retailers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a burner phone lying around with some minutes remaining, you can use it to receive the verification codes for your new account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that you will need this burner phone if you're logged out of Venmo and need to log in again.
