The 0.88 MS\/frame difference is virtually nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I got into competitive gaming recently and was looking to <a href=\"https:\/\/cpuforever.com\/builds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">build a gaming setup<\/a>. The first thing that I looked for was some good gaming monitors. I've touched on this more in-depth in the latter part of my article. However, the higher the HZ, the more fluid the animation on the screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>165 HZ monitors can play 21 more images per second than 144 HZ screens. So you might expect them to be more fluid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, these 21 more images per second are not that noticeable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let's take a look at the times it takes monitors to display different images\/ frames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>60 hertz = 16.66 ms per frame<\/li><li>75 hertz = 15 ms per frame<\/li><li>144 hertz = 6.94 ms per frame<\/li><li>165 hertz = 6.06 ms per frame<\/li><li>240 hertz = 4.16 ms per frame<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As you can see, the <a href=\"https:\/\/pcmonitors.info\/articles\/factors-affecting-pc-monitor-responsiveness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">display time gets smaller<\/a> and smaller as the refresh rate increases. Even though you'll be paying more, you won't see much of a difference, other than marginally better motion blurring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, it's not easy for a computer to constantly maintain a 165 HZ rate. If you end up buying a 165 HZ screen, you'll need a good rig for your display panel. I'm talking about splurging on a GPU and RAM. It's not wrong to be excited about this, but unless your computer can handle the new refresh rate, you would have wasted your money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is every gamer's nightmare, so I looked at everything you need to know to make sure you get a max frame rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_CPU\"><\/span>1. CPU<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There's no way you would be able to get the most out of your monitor without a good CPU. So it's important when it comes to getting the max frame rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GPU is your computer's secondary brain, and the CPU is its main one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You'll need a powerful GPU if you want to maintain a higher refresh rate. High-performance RAM like Corsair Dominator Platinum is always a good choice.
