You can either manually delete channel messages, get a bot to get the job done (like MEE6), or clone a channel. Just keep in mind that for the last 2 suggestions, you will need to have the appropriate server permissions first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I've had to delete a few problematic messages on my Discord server, and since there were so many unacceptable messages, I had to try all 3 methods. Now, there are many bots that you can use. But in my opinion, MEE6 and ClearChannel are the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case MEE6 and ClearChannel are not on your server, you will have to invite them. Just remember that you will need administrative access to do this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I've taken a look at how to use both bots in the section below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here's how you use MEE6 to clear message history:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Enter the <a href=\"https:\/\/mee6.xyz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MEE6 bot website<\/a> on any browser you want<\/li><li>Click on the Add to Discord option<\/li><li>Authorize MEE6 and then select the Server you want to add it to<\/li><li>Complete the authorization process (you might need to be server owner to do this)<\/li><li>Head over to the MEE6 dashboard on your server<\/li><li>Toggle on the Moderator button<\/li><li>Enable the plugin by selecting Yes<\/li><li>Go to the server where you want to delete all messages on<\/li><li>Enter one of the following commands to clear chat history: '!Clear x' to delete up to 1000 messages in the channel, or you can type '\/clear', hit the Tab key and enter the number of texts that you want to clear, then click the Tab key twice to choose a member whose messages you want to get rid of<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here's how you use Clearer Bot to mass delete messages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/top.gg\/bot\/622457112391319584\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Clearer Bot website<\/a><\/li><li>Click on the Invite button on the right side of the screen<\/li><li>Find the server you want to invite it to (you will need to be server owner or have appropriate chat permissions)<\/li><li>Click on the Continue button to confirm<\/li><li>Go through the list of permissions you want the bot to have access to<\/li><li>Tap the Authorize button once you have given Clearer Bot access to permissions<\/li><li>Go through the procedure that pops up to prove that you are not a robot<\/li><li>Wait for a notification to pop up once the Clearer Bot has joined your server (you should see it on the active server member list on the right side of the screen)<\/li><li>Try the following command out to clear discord chat - n!clear &lt;message number><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Method_2_Manual_Deletion\"><\/span>Method 2: Manual Deletion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From all the methods to clear discord chat, manual deletion takes the most time. It might be the way to go if you only have to delete a few messages rather than bulk messages. This can be tough in case you're in an active discord server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here's what you do:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Find the message you want to clear from the chat panel<\/li><li>Hover your mouse over it<\/li><li>When the three dot icon appears, click on it, then tap Delete messages<\/li><li>Click on the Delete button to confirm deletion from the text channel<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can follow the above steps on either a Discord channel, or to delete any direct message conversations from the direct message panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have the appropriate server permissions, you can follow the steps to delete other users' messages. You can also report what they have sent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Method_3_Clone_Channel_Messages\"><\/span>Method 3: Clone Channel Messages<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If not for the above tricks, you can clone a channel and clear all its messages. When you do this, the channel settings that you've set, and the members you gave channel access to will not change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, you will end up with a new channel with the same name and permissions as the old one but with all of its existing messages automatically cleared.
